1971 Austin 6 CWT Pickup 1098cc in Maroon. This rare Austin being one of the last built by Austin and not under the Morris badge. This Austin has been comprehensively restored during its previous ownership. Found in a barn in 2014 as a rolling shell that had already been painted the previous owner set about restoring the pickup to its former glory. Having benefited from a new 1098cc engine, new gearbox, complete wiring loom, brakes, SU carb, stainless steel exhaust, brake master cylinder and carpets and headlining the pickup was finished in 2017 with a cost of £5816 with receipts on file. Since then, she has been used sparingly only having covered 600 miles and dry stored when not in use.
As you can imagine upon test drive this pick up drove without fault with a strong, quick engine, lovely gearbox and it brakes and handles well. These Austin Pickups have been increasing in value and demand.
