WILLYS MB
MPV Hotchkiss Jeep (1963)
A post war Hotchkiss Jeep recreated to Willys MB wartime specification . Known in France as ‘La Jeep', the Hotchkiss M201 was the standard light transport used by the French army from the end of WW2 up until the 1980s. Initially built under licence as MBs, they were known as M201s from 1956 and remained virtually unchanged throughout production – a fitting testament to the efficiency of the original design.
This Left Hand Drive Hotchkiss M201 was imported into the UK from France in 1998. The jeep was originally used by the French army as a radio telecoms vehicle and still has the original radio and mast which is kept in a canvas bag. The car comes with the grease gun under the bonnet, shovel and axe attached to the side, a siren, twin spare jerrycans, numerous canvas bags and a mounting for a .45 calibre machine gun. The Hotchkiss also comes with a spare parts file and a history file with old MOTs and invoices. The French army serial number is 2154. This excellent Hotchkiss is UK registered with a V5 and runs and drives very well and would look fantastic at any showground especially those devoted to military vehicles. This Hotchkiss would be a great addition to any collection especially a military one and is ready to be used and enjoyed. Absolutely any inspection welcome. All major debit cards accepted. UK mainland delivery included. Please call us for any further details. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram @morseclassics
