Print image for 1967 AUSTIN A35 Van
1967 AUSTIN A35 Van
63,000 Miles
£10,995

1967 Austin A35 Van. Tweed Grey with black upholstery. Introduced in 1956, the Austin A35 replaced the highly successful A30. The name reflected the larger and more powerful 34 hp inline-four engine. The A35 is very similar in appearance to the A30, except for a larger rear window aperture and a painted front grille, with chrome horse-shoe surround, instead of the chrome grille on the A30. The semaphore turn-signal indicators were replaced with modern front and rear-mounted flashing lights. A slightly easier to operate remote-control gear-change was provided. Much of the improved performance is a result of different gearbox ratios. Like the A30, the A35 was offered as a two- or four-door saloon and two-door “Countryman” estate and also as a van. The latter model continued in production through to 1968. A rare Pickup version was also produced in 1956, with just 477 sold.
Supplied new on 2nd March 1967 by Thomas Stratin Ltd of Birmingham to Mr W. Herring. This 1967 Austin A35 van is one of the last produced. This A35 is a very original little van and is ready to show having been lovingly restored. It was sign written for a decorating company in Walsall but this can be easily removed and replaced with your own company details if required, we have a very good traditional signwriter that we regularly use. The van has a good service history with original sales invoice, service booklet, original owner’s manual, lots of old MOTs and invoices. It starts on the button and drives very well with a strong engine and smooth gearbox. Just waiting to be enjoyed in new hands this van would be a welcome addition to any collection. The whole concept of purchasing a light commercial for private classic motoring combined with its advertising potential is one we have enjoyed for many years and proved to be an enormous success. Without doubt the most economical and successful form of advertising known to man! On test drive the van performed very well with no faults. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended. Please call for further information. Delivery can be arranged.
